We were warmly welcomed by Catherine and Thierry; Catherine prepared hearty breakfasts, and we stayed in a four‑person apartment. The property sits in a very quiet neighborhood about 15 minutes from Verdun, has a spacious bathroom, is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and the bedding is perfect. Thierry also took us to visit the X point on the Crête des Éparges, a strategic spot during World War I. It was an exceptional stay, as we know very little about it.
