In October it was very quiet, almost deserted, but the atmosphere was charming and beautiful. They promised a sea‑view room at booking, but we didn’t get one.

The spot on the Adriatic Sea is gorgeous, but in winter it feels isolated and you need a plan to reach Venice. The boardwalk by the water is great, and the beach stays clean and well maintained. Every morning the breakfast is wonderful, with freshly made omelettes and pancakes, and the mugs for coffee and tea are big. The table service and menu for lunch and dinner are excellent. At the end of October the air conditioning stopped working, so the rooms stayed hot with no airflow or cooling. The underfoot heating was on, making nights hot even though the rooms were impeccably clean. The hotel offers a kettle, tea, coffee, and a room fridge. All nearby hotels were closed for winter, so the area felt very isolated and deserted – which is fine if you enjoy quiet.
