“Sehr gepflegtes Haus”

The house was very beautiful and clean, the facilities were super well maintained, the owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were renovated, tidy, cozy and comfortable—always happy to return. The only downside was that we had to pay extra for using the sauna, so we didn’t use it.

Everything was great when we arrived; the manager greeted us, showed us the reserved room, and offered an upgrade at the same price, letting us pick the room. We tried to pay with an EC card on the first night but it didn’t work, only cash in Kronen was accepted, so we asked to pay the next day, which was fine. We had trouble getting a toll ticket, but the staff helped. The food was wonderful, though we were disappointed with the fried sausage and scrambled eggs—taste, of course. The property was nice with several amenities, none of which we used. The odd thing was that we couldn’t pay in euros on the first day, had to get Kronen, and then at the bill we were asked if we wanted to pay in euros 🙈. The extra charges for the pool and sauna were a shame.

“Live like a noblity”

The spot’s location is spot on, making it a breeze to get around. The property itself is gorgeous, and we were lucky to snag an upgraded room. The bed was super comfy and we enjoyed three nights of absolute peace. We skipped the restaurant because we had other plans, but breakfast was decent. It would have been nicer if the bread at breakfast had been freshly baked.

The area sits in the middle of a lovely garden that invites walking or running, very quiet, surrounded by greenery, with a colorful breakfast buffet in a cozy winter garden. The staff were friendly. There’s a tennis court and a playground, and everything was clean. Two days before arrival we asked about charging our car and received a positive reply, but then heard nothing from them and arrived almost empty‑handed, only to find out the charging station was broken. The reception was unstaffed, the host didn’t read messages, so everything had to be arranged by phone. No infrastructure was available. The room couldn’t be locked from the inside.

The Italian manor and its grounds were beautifully kept. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good. I booked online on the way, a few hours before arrival, so I missed their follow‑up email that said payment would only be accepted in local currency, though I had USD and euros. They couldn’t take a credit card, but after several failed attempts they finally accepted USD, costing us on conversion. Our room was upstairs, but the elevator wasn’t reachable from the building entrance for arrivals, which is odd because the closed reception and elevator were on the opposite side of the arrivals area, not accessible. The owner helped carry one bag upstairs, but when we left we had to carry two 49‑pound bags down because the elevator didn’t reach the exit door. All wellness services were a la carte, which I haven’t seen elsewhere. Dining in the nearby village only accepted local currency, no cards.
