Located in the charming seaside village of Del Mar, the Best Western Premier Hotel Del Mar offers a tranquil atmosphere with an outdoor pool and hot tub. Guests enjoy free WiFi, air-conditioned rooms with refrigerators, iPod docking stations, and 42-inch flat-screen TVs. The hotel is near the Del Mar Racetrack, Del Mar Fairgrounds, and Torrey Pines Golf Course, with easy access to The Belly Up Tavern and University of California San Diego.

The location is excellent and the value for money is outstanding.

I found the bed very comfortable to lie on, but the water pressure in the shower was low.

The staff were friendly, the location was generally okay, and the price was affordable. However, the hotel’s location is awkward: it’s close to the beach but you can’t walk directly there, you have to take a detour that takes 15 minutes on foot, which is uncomfortable, so you need to drive. Additionally, you have to pay a $20 parking fee, which makes it feel less like a resort.

The room was very clean and the housekeeping was exceptional, but the paid breakfast offered few vegetarian options and the shower had very low water pressure and flow.
