The pool was great and the beach was close by. By the 13th day of our stay, however, three walls and the ceiling in our room were completely covered in black mold. The staff told us to move all personal items onto the beds, covered the beds with plastic, sprayed the room, and told us to stay out for 2 hours. I didn’t feel this was a safe or adequate way to eliminate the mold hazard. Our stay was from Aug 16‑23 in my name, Donna Butcher, and Aug 23‑30 in my partner’s name, Michael Hawkins. We killed sixteen giant cockroaches in the room during our stay. Needless to say, this did not make for a comfortable, enjoyable, “resort”-type stay.

I slept in a very comfortable room, even though some wear and tear was obvious, which is normal for a heavily used place. The pool was spotless and everyone seemed to enjoy it, and the beach was right there—just a few steps away, so you could feel the sand under your toes. The restaurant next door was excellent, and parking was never an issue. The staff were helpful and friendly, making the whole experience amazing. I have no complaints; it wasn’t the newest or most modern beachfront property, but the price matched what I wanted, and I spent my time on the beach and nearby attractions instead of camping in the room. All in all, everything was positive.

He was right by the beach, check‑in was easy and the staff had smiling faces at the desk. If you look closely, under the beds the room was dirty, behind the sofa as well, and the towel in the tub was dirty or not proper.

The spot was great and let us have a walk‑out room on the beach at a reasonable price, and every staff member I met was very friendly. We stayed Monday through Friday and our room never got cleaned again after arrival (though it was clean when we got there). Living in a walk‑out to the beach meant sand everywhere, which was annoying. We asked for fresh towels daily, but that only happened when we went to the desk and asked directly. There was no phone in the room, and calling from a cell never got answered at the desk. Minor issues like a clogged drain and outlets that didn’t work, plus the outdoor showers didn’t rinse sand before you came back into the room. The property could use some basic maintenance, but that isn’t a big deal for me.
