The staff were extremely welcoming, the setting is beautiful, a perfect overnight stop for a motorcycle rider, the rooms were very comfortable and very clean, I would 100 % recommend it for a night or two.

Because the hotel was overbooked, I had to swap rooms during my two‑night stay and it was difficult to do so since I had to wait for the cleaning crew, so it became a mad dash to move rooms before the wedding we had to attend in the afternoon. The first room was not what I had booked at the start – I wanted an ensuite and didn’t get that on the first night, which made me feel unsafe having to go to the bathroom during the night. I finally got the room I had booked for the second night, but the beds there were very uncomfortable.

“A great location”

The pub food was great, and the spot was convenient for an afternoon walk to the river. The beds were too soft and the pillows came without pillowcases, only a pillow protector.
