The staff were friendly and the breakfast variety was good. The room was clean, comfortable, and well prepared. However, privacy was lacking: there were no sheer curtains and the two windows faced a path from the car park into the restaurant.

The pub was great and the location was perfect for what we needed. The bathrooms had a few problems: cold water, shower heads that wouldn’t stay on the wall, and a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly.

Breakfast was really good, though the menu didn’t always match what was served, and the evening meal was lovely and well presented with generous portions. The place has the right vibe. Parking was adequate for the number of rooms and kept us away from the pub crowds. The staff were generally helpful and friendly. The TV only worked with BBCiPlayer or other internet stations, but it kept hanging. The internet was very slow. The light over the bathroom mirror wasn’t connected at one end and didn’t work. We had to ask for hand wash because there were none in the room. Friends in another room had the same issues. The towel radiator didn’t work. One window had a crack. Milk wasn’t left, though coffee and tea were provided. A breakfast item advertised as porridge with banana and chia seeds actually arrived with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, which was a problem for a friend allergic to strawberries.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location and parking were great, and the food—especially breakfast—was exceptional. The staff were friendly, and the value for money was solid.
