I chose this hotel because it reminded me of a two‑month stay I had 12 years ago, but the room smelled weird—maybe the sewage—and breakfast was pretty minimal. They charged me for a night I didn’t use, even though I had booked it. I asked to swap the pillows because they had a bad odor, the shower had very little water, and the hot and cold water taps wouldn’t shut off.

The place is beautiful and welcoming, the staff were exceptional, and the price was very good, but the bed and the tiled floor offered the same level of comfort.

The pool and the location right off the highway were great, but some people might not like that you just use a key to unlock your room and there’s no fridge or microwave.
