The owner was very friendly and we were greeted warmly even though we arrived a little early. Breakfast and dinner were flexible. The bathroom had little light and the water stayed cold, which was fine in the summer but not ideal when it gets cooler.
“Un petit paradis à la campagne”
"Chez l'habitant" is a surprising find in its surroundings, discovered at the end of an unlikely alley, but it's a gem inside. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, making it a lovely discovery. Nothing particular stands out; he simply follows the signs to guide you to the spot.
“Authenticité, mais confort basique”
The place exudes Moroccan authenticity, is very calm, and the meals are excellent. However, there are several issues: no hot water, the air conditioning doesn't work, the sink drainage is problematic, and the lighting is insufficient.
“Déçus!”
The dar was beautiful, peaceful, and beautifully decorated, and the rooms and courtyard stayed fresh even with 40° outside. The chicken tagine was delicious, and bikes could be rented, though they were ridiculously expensive at 150 dh for two hours and not negotiable. The reception was very cold and unpleasant, nothing like the earlier reviews; there was a lack of communication and no personal interaction, which was disappointing for our last night in Morocco. We had no discussion or exchange. The shower and sink drainage were problematic, with dirt rising from the pipes and splashing our feet. The bike price was outrageous, and they claimed we had a better or more expensive room, but it was the one shown in the photo of our reservation—feeling a bit tricked.
“Una piacevole oasi di tranquillità”
The property is traditional yet modern, offering tranquility and well‑being. The breakfast was abundant with high‑quality ingredients and local varieties that were especially appreciated. We also benefited from the owner's helpful tips for visiting the local market, which is far more authentic than the tourist market in Marrakech. There was absolutely nothing negative.
