“Excellent pour un couple à la mi saison !”
I loved how clean everything was—spotless. It was also great to be within walking distance of the city. The apartment had no air conditioning, so it was scorching hot; an AC unit is essential in Madeira during summer. The neighborhood often has drug users and drunk people late at night and early in the morning; they didn’t bother me, but it’s unsettling for a solo woman.
The stay was in the city center.
The location was great.
The hotel sits right in the heart of Funchal, offers very flexible check‑in times, and the rooms are comfortable and roomy. The staff were friendly and stayed late into the evening, the place was tidy, and the décor was pretty.
