Even though the place isn’t right on the beach or harbor, its quietness was a big plus; the room was spotless, cozy, and spacious with plenty of storage, and Pepe’s hospitality—from the warm welcome to the snorkeling gear, homemade coffee and cocoa, and friendly chats—made this my best Galápagos stay.

I had a great stay at Palma del Mar 2, where Pepe went above and beyond to keep my sister and me comfortable; it’s a short walk to town and close to the beaches, the bedrooms are tidy and cozy, the kitchen is stocked with Pepe’s own dried fruit, cocoa, and coffee, and he arranged a cheaper 360 tour for us; he’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and a true gentleman—thanks again, Pepe.

The hotel is just 5 minutes from the center and the port, Pepe will help you with everything, it’s comfortable, quiet, clean, and offers great value; it has a garden, and you’ll feel at home.

Pepe, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful, we were well taken care of and received plenty of tips, and everything went perfectly.
