The only redeeming factor was the proximity to the pyramids. The room was filthy: sheets had fresh stains of blood and hair on both beds, and the duvet cover had dried blood that the staff tried to clean with their finger. The curtains were falling off the window, there was no TV remote, and the TV didn’t work even after we got a remote. Cigarette butts were found under the bed, and a kettle contained floating chunks. The staff allowed themselves to smoke our cigarettes. The shower head leaked everywhere, and we had to request toilet paper, sugar, coffee and cups. The sugar came in a paper cup from a hotel 300 km away, apparently from someone else’s exit. There was no daily towel service, and holes appeared in the awnings above the internal stairs. Overall, a terrible place and one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
