“It was ok”
The property’s location offers beautiful views of the pyramids from several spots around the hotel. The team eventually solved our check‑in problem and even upgraded us, which we appreciated. The food was fine and we had no stomach issues. Celia and the general manager were very nice and professional. Unfortunately, our check‑in was very stressful and unpleasant: when we arrived, no room was available and a loud party/rave was happening. We had to move to another hotel at 5 am, and we were not informed about this beforehand. The hotel apparently notified us, but we never received a message. We had specifically asked in advance whether arriving so late would be a problem and were told it would be fine, with no mention of the party or lack of rooms. Although we received an upgrade, the new room had a broken shower drain and no hot water. The surrounding area is very poor and underdeveloped, with camel and horse stables right next to the reception entrance, piles of rubbish, and stray dogs everywhere. This is worth knowing before booking, as the surroundings may not suit everyone. Overall, the stay was okay, but the check‑in experience and room issues were disappointing.
