I love a good Aussie pub; this old place is a classic and has been beautifully restored. The hotel itself is awesome and the staff are proud. My room, however, could have used some TLC: a bedside lamp, a power outlet next to the bed, a mirror, a table or a couch to watch TV on, or just some homely furnishings to brighten up the massive room that only had a bed. The bed was very comfortable.

The best room in the hotel – two large king beds with plenty of space, a coffee machine included, generous and enjoyable bistro meals, and close to town and attractions. Because the room is on an upper floor, some noise seeped in, but it was minor and stopped fairly early.

The room was clean and tidy. The noise from the cleaning crew and the half an hour of buzzing from the open poker machines at 2 am while they were emptied was ridiculous.
