“Sehr preisgünstige Unterkunft für Kurzaufenthalt, verkehrsgünstig gelegen am S-Bahnhof Sebaldsbrück”
The breakfast wasn’t included, and the property has only five self‑contained rooms, more like a workers’ lodge than a typical hotel. There’s no front desk or personal contact; the room key is left outside the front door in a lockbox whose code you receive by calling a phone number upon arrival. The mattress in the room I stayed in for the second time is good, and the shower works well. However, the heating is set to level 5 yet only produces lukewarm water, the thin blanket is too short for taller people so you can feel a chill, and the toilet seat that broke a year ago is still missing and hasn’t been replaced. There’s no TV or radio, just free Wi‑Fi. Storage is minimal – no wardrobes, only ten hanging hooks near the door and a small shelf next to the left bed, plus a pine desk with a chair between the beds. Room 3 on the first floor faces the noisy main street, as does room 1 on the second floor, while rooms 2 (second floor), 4 (first floor) and 5 on the ground floor are quieter, overlooking the garden. Check‑out is at 10 am, done by leaving the key in the room.
