River Side Maruyama

The inn has only six rooms, three of which have private onsens overlooking the river. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, and the staff were amazing. The room we stayed in had a balcony with a river view, making the whole experience very relaxing. I’d come back if I’m ever in Japan again.

“コスパ良い”

The staff were friendly, and with 24‑hour access you could play around without worrying about time. The only downside was the strong smell coming from the sliding door—quite unpleasant.

The private open‑air bath was fantastic. There were also chairs and tables in a garden‑like space where you could relax while enjoying the view. The staff were very courteous. The only negative point was the lack of a nearby convenience store.

It was an amazing stay, honestly. It’s a bit far from the village, but the free transfer is a game changer—they’ll take you back whenever you want, always with a smile. Communication is excellent, whether in English or Japanese; they really try to connect in English, which is incredible. The room feels like a genuine Japanese experience, super comfy and detailed. Breakfast and dinner were also great value, and we’ll definitely return. Nothing could be better.
