“Pensjonato hotelik vel sala bankietowa”
The rooms were clean, comfortable, with a TV, kettle, coffee, tea, and bottled water, and parking was included in the price, which was a definite plus. The nearby shops, even a Biedronka, were convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the floor creaked so much that it felt awkward walking around the room to avoid disturbing other guests. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast: the first day I was served a sparse Swedish buffet that didn’t live up to the region’s reputation for deliciousness. It consisted of two glasses of juice, a few slices of less-than‑desirable cold cuts, a small plate of cheeses, a tiny plate of cucumber and tomato slices, a small salad of olives, and a tiny plate with two sliced eggs. There were a few slices of wheat bread, and on the second day the eggs were gone entirely. The staff even asked if I wanted scrambled eggs, which felt like a joke. The only bright spot was the coffee machine – the best part of breakfast. I mention this because the price of the stay and the reviews I was guided by were heavily exaggerated.
