Nungwi Retreat

“A wonderful and comfortable stay with excellent hospitality and a great location near the beach.”

Kombo really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable; the breakfast was good, the Wi‑Fi worked well, and the beds were very comfortable. The beach was just a two‑minute walk away, which was a great bonus. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and truly appreciated Kombo’s hospitality, so we would definitely be happy to stay there again. I can't think of anything negative.

“Все понравилось, было тихо, уютно. Рекомендую.”

The rooms were large, clean, quiet, and close to the beach. The host was very friendly. In my room there was a problem with hot water in the shower, but it was resolved very quickly. When the island cuts the power, a generator kicks in, so there were no power issues. The Wi‑Fi didn’t always work, but that’s not the hotel’s fault; it was practically unusable everywhere, though only occasionally. It was also nice that the host adjusted the check‑in and check‑out times. The call to prayer is very loud, even though the speaker is quite far away; it can be heard everywhere, so I ended up using earplugs.

The room was large and spacious, the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net, and there was always a spray for guests on the porch. It’s close to the beach, cafés, and shops, which is very convenient. The breakfast was generally decent, with a variety of fruits on a plate each day. The beach near the guesthouse was dirty and full of algae that were never cleaned, so we had to walk farther to find a clean spot to swim. The bathroom plumbing looked a bit old, but it’s manageable. The breakfast was the same each day, and when new guests arrived in the last two days of our stay, we no longer received the same variety of fruits as before.

“3 noches en Nungwi!”

The room was super big and the bed too! What we liked most was the location, with direct beach access in 1 minute and right next to bars, shops… The staff were friendly and respectful. If you’re sensitive to noise when sleeping, keep in mind that the call to prayer at night is very loud.
