The location is perfect, the staff is perfect, and the pool and beach are amazing.

The staff were the best we’ve ever had—very attentive and detail‑oriented, truly focused on making the stay amazing! The beach wasn’t paradise‑level, but the resort as a whole makes up for it.

The location is great and breakfast is very good, plus the service is solid. The hotel and rooms feel worn out and need updating; some décor is shabby and doesn’t match the standards of other hotels at this price. Several activities were unavailable and this wasn’t disclosed before arrival, and the restaurants were closed—this should be clearly communicated.

The location is stunning and the pool area matches the photos, with staff who are friendly and kind. Unfortunately the service leaves much to be desired and doesn’t yet meet the standard expected of a Mandarin Oriental. There was no initiative and a lot of staff just stood around chatting. Ordered items were often forgotten even after confirmation, and chicken was sent in a meal that had been confirmed vegetarian. The food is only average at best, with very limited variety for a long day and many flavors too similar. The wine list is ridiculously short and pricey. No one could explain what was included in the minibar; we received contradictory information from different staff. At check‑in we were told all non‑alcoholic drinks were included, only to later be told otherwise and that we had to pay for them with no price list available. They eventually honored the complimentary non‑alcoholic drinks and snacks as a goodwill gesture for the misinformation. The biggest let‑down was the private transfer arranged by the hotel: despite explicitly asking for one rear‑facing baby seat and one forward‑facing toddler seat, the driver arrived with a booster seat and a baby capsule that couldn’t be fixed to the car. This caused a 4.5‑hour delay before we could get the correct seats, leading us to cross the border during peak hour and arrive at our hotel well after 8 pm instead of the planned 3 pm. It was very stressful and ruined the day, with the kids exhausted from the late arrival. Everyone at MO apologized, but it was completely unacceptable, especially with the driver repeatedly attempting to fake install the car capsule while I had to show that it remained unfixed.
