“Surprisingly great Super 8”
I was amazed at how spotless our room and the breakfast area were—better than a typical Super 8. The staff were friendly, and the housekeeping team kindly added extra towels for us. I only wish the complimentary breakfast offered waffles, but I get that a Super 8 is budget-friendly and waffles can be messy to clean.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite. The breakfast was just a few pastries and cereal. It stormed that night; when I looked outside I stepped into a puddle on the floor. My socks got soaked, so I laid towels on the floor to dry it. The window seal was soaked; I left towels on it all night and told the staff the next day.
“Probably will not stay there again.”
The staff were friendly. We found dead bugs in the room (thankfully dead) and the bed was the most uncomfortable ever.

Honestly, the only good thing was how close everything in New Braunfels was. This place was terrible! Spiders in the rooms, no toilet paper, no bedding for two nights, staff terribly untrained and lazy—except the laundry crew. The rooms were filthy, with bodily fluids on the roof and walls, and much more.

The location was good and there were many restaurants nearby. The only issue was the bathtub: water stayed in it after a shower the night before, and by morning it was still there—maybe something was plugged or something.
