“Cozy place with very nice and attentive owners”

The Harris surf Villa is overall great; the property has only two rooms, one of which is occupied by a very friendly French kitchen chef who is away during the day—he might only be seen in the morning or late at night. The owners are responsive and eager to help with everything. Harris, a pro surfer, offers lessons, and his wife Hety is kind and responsive. They also own a Warung a few minutes toward the beach with great food at a very good price. The common kitchen is well equipped and relatively clean. The room itself is spacious, with comfy beds, and the bathroom includes a bathtub that can be filled to about 2/3 with warm water, still nice for a soak. It sits in a nice garden, offering good value for the money. The location is just a bit off the very busy main road, in the middle of a local village and close to a mosque, so you’ll hear the calls for prayer but it’s not too loud. Chickens roam everywhere, which is kind of cute. The walls could use a repaint because humidity is crawling up and destroying the paint, and overall a bit more love into maintenance and cleanliness would help keep the place running long. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives, so I had a great stay!

The room was clean and spacious, and the lush green courtyard with coconut trees and beautiful flowers made the stay even more special. The location was ideal—less than a 5‑minute scooter ride to the surf break and set back from the main road, so it was peaceful with no traffic noise. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and we would definitely stay here again.

“Fantastic villa, incredible people, awesome surf!”

We loved the villas; they were big, clean, and had everything we needed. It was lovely to be among the Balinese locals in a neighbourhood and interact with the families. Hety and Harris were amazing—anything we needed they attended to and were so helpful. We went there specifically to surf the point. It was a short scenic ride through the rice paddies each day to get to the surf, which we loved. Hety also has a restaurant down in the paddies that we enjoyed too! Apart from a few mozzies in our room at night, the mosque music was the thing that interrupted our peace. It's doable for 5 minutes, but 30 minutes at 5am is too much each morning.
