The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location and views were amazing, and the curry is a must‑try if you dine there; it was surprising that a Scottish hotel didn’t offer porridge in the morning.

The location is good and quiet, but the room equipment feels old and the mattress is very worn out; the window also doesn’t open properly.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the manager. We had an apartment room on 2 floors which made the place feel very spacious with all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. Food in the restaurant was lovely, especially the curry. It overlooked the sea where we sat and watched dolphins jumping (binoculars provided by the hotel). The hotel is a little tired in places, however this added to the experience
