Holiday Inn Express Milwaukee-New Berlin by IHG

“Clean and comfortable”

The room was clean, the bed and bedding comfortable—exactly what we needed for a quick weekend trip. The staff were responsive and helpful. The only downside was the towels, which were pretty thin and could be better quality.

The building was old and smelled bad. The pool and the entire pool area were dirty, with a disgusting flood. Nothing at the gym worked; all machines were broken and the AC was off. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in—I almost drove away from the property. Thankfully, it was only one night.

The hotel was decent for a city spot, but the food left something to be desired.

Having stayed at several hotels nearby, I found Holiday Inn Express the best; the homemade cinnamon rolls, varied breakfast, pool that lets you soak in a hot tub while swimming, comfy beds, convenient location, and helpful staff all stood out, though I wished I could have extended my stay.

“Breakfast foods were mediocre at best, but the cleanliness and comfort of beds/pillows was great!”

The breakfast was the only disappointing part of our visit; although served at good temperature and the area was clean, my omelet and sausage tasted like lower quality food, and I only tried a bite of each. I also disliked seeing Fox News on the communal television during morning news, though it reflects the local area.
