Hotel Rhein INN

The location is great and the space is plenty—though there are a few minor issues. The hotel sits right on the ferry pier, which is perfect, and the breakfast buffet was generous. Our room had two separate areas and was very roomy, giving us plenty of space to store our stuff. However, there were a few things that made the stay a bit uncomfortable: there were no blinds, so the sun poured in during the day and the heat built up in the room. The heating was on, making it even warmer. The bathroom lacked a non‑slip mat in the shower, making it very slippery. Finally, the beds were a bit too soft for our liking.

I really enjoyed my entire stay. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was delicious with a view of the Rhine, and the dinner at the restaurant that evening was absolutely fantastic. The room felt cozy. I’m still amazed that such a low room rate, including breakfast, can offer so much—kudos to everyone! The only downside is that if you want to sleep with the window open, you need a deep sleep, because the ferry departures and the road in front of the hotel can disturb a bit.
