The manager Eric, who took over the place a year ago, welcomed us warmly; the cabin under a banyan tree is lovely and was restored, giving us direct access to the pool. Breakfast was hearty and varied, and the accommodation was clean. I missed the chance to greet Eric when we left, which was a small regret.

We had a wonderful stay at La Morne aux Fous and recommend the place without hesitation. The setting is simply stunning, tucked in lush tropical vegetation, offering a true haven of peace where we fully recharged. Every morning we enjoyed watching hummingbirds and listening to birdsong—a soothing spectacle that added authenticity and a sense of escape. The pool is a real bonus: pleasant, well maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. Breakfast deserves a special mention: it is hearty, varied, and delicious, with fresh fruit, dairy, and bread—everything you need to start the day right. The location is ideal for exploring the area; beautiful beaches and the Deshaies Botanical Garden are nearby, making it an excellent base for discovery. A huge thanks to Eric, our host, who is always smiling, warm, and available, knows Guadeloupe inside out, and generously shares valuable tips on the best spots, activities, and good places to eat. His recommendations truly enriched our stay and helped us experience an even more authentic adventure. If we ever return to Guadeloupe, this is where we will stay again, without hesitation.
