“An extremely disappointing stay, with loud party music until 1:30 AM”

I booked a room at The Park Chennai for an elderly couple, expecting a comfortable, peaceful stay, but the experience was absolutely disappointing. The hotel hosted a Halloween party with extremely loud music and heavy bass vibrations until 1:30 AM, felt even on the second floor, ruining their sleep. The staff did nothing to reduce the volume or address the issue despite repeated complaints, showing no consideration or urgency. How can a hotel expect its guests to tolerate such disturbance until 1:30 AM? If they plan loud events, they must ensure resident guests’ comfort is not compromised. This reflects poor event planning, inadequate noise management, and a disregard for customer experience. I chose The Park Chennai for hospitality and quality service, but instead the hotel made the stay extremely unpleasant. A hotel of this reputation should prioritize resident guests’ comfort. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in The Park Chennai, and I urge management to review its event practices and take responsibility for the inconvenience.

“Hotel needs urgent care”

The staff deserved special recognition for their kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for our comfort; everyone made a sincere effort to help us and offered every possible solution, including compensation for the nights we could not stay. Unfortunately, the hotel’s issues were beyond their control, and we truly appreciated their understanding and willingness to help. The hotel once seemed luxurious with high standards, but now it urgently needs maintenance and renovation. Dampness is everywhere—felt immediately upon entering the lobby and absolutely unbearable in the rooms. The staff were kind and changed my room twice, but the smell and dampness persisted in every room, affecting my clothes, bedsheets, pillows, jewelry, and electronics. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience, making staying in the room unbearable. The humidity raises serious health concerns. It’s a shame because the building has potential, and the staff were genuinely helpful, but good service cannot compensate for such serious maintenance problems. The hotel must renovate and address the dampness throughout before it can offer a comfortable and healthy stay.

A good place to stay; the reception team was truly excellent in hospitality, especially Kannadasan and Nikita.
