Most things were taken into account. The place was very clean, the food and staff were up to standard, and we liked the restaurant and the lounge chairs on the nice sandy beach. The internet was paid. The pools weren’t heated and were cold. They gave us a smaller room than the one we paid for and the little one lied to us that the opposite was larger.

The coffee was good—really a nice facility. The childcare was very inadequate; kids could only participate from age four and only those who paid for activities were looked after, the rest were ignored. The staff seemed bored and wandered around; we know how it is, work is work, but it felt different. Room cleaning was sometimes forgotten, and on several occasions the person was supposed to clean where we had put our child for nap time but never came back. For me this is no longer a five‑star hotel; the Wi‑Fi and safe are extra and we don’t see that in other hotels—€2 per day, then you arrive and already 40€ has been taken from the day of check‑in.

We returned to Grand Seker for a second time this year and were again very pleased; the staff were consistently helpful and friendly, the grounds stayed spotless, the water was regularly checked, and the food offered a wide variety of tasty dishes.
