It turned out to be a scam; I booked, arrived, and was told there was no reservation and that I had to cancel because nothing was actually booked, which was exactly the same story they repeated when I tried to explain.

I appreciated Andrés’ attentiveness; he guided us through the trade shows and connected us with reliable transport contacts. The breakfast was rather ordinary, and on the holiday Monday, when we arrived early for the fairs, they had no way to store or preserve breakfast for us. When I approached the hotel, they said it was full and that they hadn’t used the Booking app in months; it’s the first time this has happened, and it’s irresponsible for the hotel to leave you in a bind. They should formally cancel the app listing instead of keeping it active.
