Yakaduru - Yala

This was a very interesting stay in the heart of Yala—super close to the safari, which made it easy to get there at a good time. The highlight was the staff who were so helpful, kind and attentive, and they really accommodated all of our needs. I would recommend this just for them alone!

Yakaduru is ideal for a visit to Yala National Park. Everyone there is very welcoming, the food is delicious, and most importantly, Nishantha, our camp host and naturalist, was fantastic. He taught us a lot about the local wildlife and culture, answered every question, and guided us on many walks. The team does a superb job caring for nature and animals and goes the extra mile for guests. They can arrange safaris, handle entry tickets, and provide reliable drivers who get priority lane access at the entrance.

Yakaduru is an amazing place—authentic, spacious, clean, and deeply sustainable, yet beautiful with hanging basket lights and swinging chairs. Nish, Moorthy, and the team made the stay welcoming and comfortable, earning a 10/10. It feels like you’re in the wild. Having Nish on the sunrise safari turned the trip into a biology lesson and let us spot far more than a standard drive would. Sleeping in an open room with mosquito nets was fantastic, and they prepared for us each night so we felt safe from bugs. The food was 10/10, and the traditional dance show at intervals during dinner made the small setting feel like a family dinner rather than a restaurant. The extra effort for a family birthday was greatly appreciated.
