The aesthetic was beautiful. The rooms were smaller than I expected; the pictures made them look larger than they actually are.

The location was perfect, the décor beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive, and breakfast lovely. The area was quiet. The deluxe double room we booked felt a bit cramped, so next time I’d opt for a superior room.

Breakfast had a good variety, and the service from the staff, especially on Saturday morning, was excellent and attentive. The lobby area was stunning. The room on the eighth floor could only be reached by a narrow staircase, which was only revealed after I checked in. No assistance was offered with my luggage. When I first tried to locate my room, I had to negotiate past a bucket that was apparently holding a leak from the ceiling; the bucket was, of course, in the middle of the narrow corridor, and this was not mentioned at check‑in. A terrible odor emanated from the bathroom drains. The headboard was vinyl and peeling badly, especially onto the pillows.

The room was compact but immaculate, and everything we needed was included and within easy reach. The staff were extremely friendly and fulfilled my special request. Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like.
