Het Maashotel offers modern rooms with private balconies overlooking the river Maas, cable TV, and tea-and-coffee facilities. A French cuisine restaurant with river-side terrace serves breakfast and dinner. Free Wi-Fi is available. Located near thermal baths of Arcen (2 km) and Venlo city centre (16 km by car), the hotel features spacious bathrooms and seating corners in each room.

The view from the rooms and terrace over the Maas is nice. But you’re only allowed to shower in the bathtub – a written warning on the room! The room only has instant coffee, and the breakfast selection is thin and pricey; every cup of coffee had to be requested. The parking in front of the hotel is locked and costs €10 a night, so they point you to the municipal public lot instead. Bikes must be locked overnight for an extra fee (!) – last year they were free. The staff are young, friendly, inexperienced, but very eager. We were back for a second time and this time I can’t recommend it. It feels like they’re all about cutting costs. Too bad!
