“Venice getaway.”

I was happy with the location—it was within walking distance of everything. The room was cramped and the bed sat in a corner, so I had to climb over it each time I got up. We stayed on the ground floor facing the alley, so early‑morning passersby chatting or standing outside the door made the place noisy; the building wasn’t soundproof. A “quiet hours” sign from 11 pm to 7 am would have helped. The water pipes ran through the room, so each shower or toilet flush was too loud.

The spot was spot‑on, right in the middle of everything yet surprisingly quiet, and the place was spotless. I only noticed a few tiny details that could have been better, but I liked everything else.

The location was great, just a ten‑minute walk from St Mark's Square and a short stroll to the Varpetto stop. The staff paid attention to detail, the room was very clean, and the complimentary coffee, water, and toiletries were a nice touch. I’d definitely come back.

I liked everything. The only odd thing was that the air‑conditioner ran only in cooling mode and couldn’t be switched to heating.
