“Disappointing - will go somewhere else next time.”
The hotel was reasonably located for Disney—just two RER stops away (10 min), which makes it cheaper than those closer, though not all trains stop in this town. When we arrived we had to check in at the neighboring hotel; we left our bags there because our room wasn’t ready and were told it would close at 23:00, so if we came back after that we’d need to find someone at our hotel to retrieve them. We were given a key but told it wasn’t validated, so it had to be done when we returned. We didn’t get a code for the main gate, so when we got back we had to wait for a car to arrive to escort us in. There were tickets with our room key but no one told us we needed to hand them in at breakfast the next day, so we didn’t take them down. The hotel is about a 15‑minute walk from the RER, but they seem to assume everyone will arrive by car because you have to walk all the way around to the driveway to get in, whereas a pedestrian entrance by the traffic island that leads from the train would cut the walk to the hotel entrance by several minutes. Our room was passable, although the bed was uncomfortable; we only had a bath with a shower instead of a shower cubicle as I’d preferred. There wasn’t much space to put your bathroom items without risking them falling into the toilet. At breakfast they were very slow filling things up, so on the first morning there was no fruit salad, only one yoghurt, one egg, and the nub end of a brioche loaf, and these were eventually replaced as we were leaving. Very little healthy food was available—no nuts, seeds, dried fruit, fresh fruit, granola, oats, salad, veggie butter, or soy yoghurt. The only cereals were sugary processed items like choco pops. There was a bar and reception desk but no one manned them whenever we were there, and the coffee machines were turned off at night, so there was nowhere to get a drink before bed.
