The hotel is conveniently located in front of the city tram station, and there was a tasty izakaya nearby. It would have been nice to have a shoe‑polishing service.

It was reasonably priced. The location is inconvenient without a car. The room only had a shower; I wish that had been clear when I booked. We’re older and found it confusing, but younger travelers might find this place suitable.

The tram stops right outside the hotel, which is great. The downside is that the bathroom only has a shower, which feels even colder in winter. I’m not sure if other floors have the same issue. I booked a long time ago and ended up with the only first‑floor room.

The entrance to the room is wide, so the whole space feels roomy, and everything was clean, which I appreciated. The free breakfast was a bit underwhelming, and the surrounding facilities are a little far. Hakodate Racecourse is right in front of the hotel.
