The accommodation was absolutely amazing, and the owner welcomed us warmly and was really helpful with everything! We visited the Great Wall both in the evening and in the morning because the location was so good. You can’t find better accommodation than this!

Lily and her husband welcomed us with open arms and served us a fantastic dinner both nights, so I’d definitely suggest staying with them for a lovely evening meal followed by the roof terrace. It was a bit chilly, but Lily kindly brought two warm blankets so we could still enjoy the view. From the terrace you can spot parts of the Great Wall during the day. The entrance to the Wall is a short climb up a small hill, and Lily handled our tickets for us the night before. We caught the first cable car ride at 7:30, and Lily made sure we had a great breakfast and even sent us off with water. We had the wall mostly to ourselves, and we couldn’t have done that without staying here.
