The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive, even offering to arrange breakfast for us even though the hotel doesn't serve it. The balcony view is nice, and the hotel is just a few steps from the train station and bus stop. However, the room was only superficially clean; on closer inspection you see dirt in the corners, limescale on the tiles, and a calcified faucet. Everything feels old and cheap, with no sense of comfort.

The hotel’s location and incredible lake view make it a great choice for anyone wanting a view of Interlaken’s lake, but the lack of air‑conditioning is a clear drawback. I booked in October when the weather was fine and didn’t need AC, but in summer or during unpredictable weather I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, there is no private fridge in the room; instead, a shared fridge is available at reception for all guests.
