I booked a room through the app the day before, confirmed with the hotel that it was okay, but when I arrived the next afternoon the staff said there were no rooms left, claiming the rooms were all booked since this morning. It felt like the room I reserved the previous day was treated the same as a last‑minute, higher‑priced booking. The staff offered to find another place with availability, but they gave me no phone number and left me to search on my own during a peak weekend, and I was traveling with two little kids, which made the whole experience extremely frustrating.

The bathroom fan was broken, the water heater wouldn’t turn on until I had to press the relay button again, the ceiling fan and chandelier caught fire, and I saw exposed wiring in a few spots. The room was tiny and cramped, making it damp, the bedspread still had sand from previous guests, and the hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
