The place is in a decent spot, but the staff were the worst I've seen in Laos over four weeks—grumpy and unhelpful, telling us to handle our transfer to Vieng Phou Kha ourselves. The rented bikes were in bad shape, one even broke its brake mid‑ride, which was dangerous. The rooms could have been great if the bathrooms and decor had received some investment; they were not clean.
The establishment was cozy and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the location was great—above expectations. It was hard to talk to the staff, the room was dark and cold, and there was a bit of noise from unruly guests.
The front desk and staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was spot on, right across from the evening market with lively surroundings. A bank ATM was on the other side and breakfast was excellent; the restaurant offered a wide range of tasty dishes. They also had a variety of tours available, and we did the day‑tour, which was truly recommended. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even going out of their way to pick up medication for us. There were bikes for rent to explore the area. We stayed seven days and had no regrets.
