The proximity to the old town was great, the breakfast café was super and we were visited by many locals, the room is small but fine for one night, and the welcome was very friendly 😊. Free parking is about 10 minutes from the accommodation.

This apartment is just a two‑minute walk from the historic centre, fully equipped with fridge, dishes and even a washing machine! On the landing you’ll find everything for breakfast unless you prefer a nearby café. The host is very helpful and friendly. A paid parking spot is close by. The unit is on the 2nd floor (57 steps) which can be hard to reach for seniors, so good legs are needed to walk around Matera.

The reception was very hospitable and the roof terrace is lovely. I’m not so fond of a room without windows.
