The hotel was very beautiful and comfortable, with excellent staff, service and reception, always friendly and helpful. The spa and wellness area were top quality. The breakfast buffet offered a very good and varied selection. Dinner had a good menu and great value for money. Perhaps the different sauna functions should be checked daily; there were some outages. The host family, Hannes and Monika Hettegger, behaved differently. Monika Hettegger was very friendly and helpful, present throughout the property. With Hannes Hettegger, we would have liked more personal contact with guests, such as a personal greeting at the tables during dinner, asking about well‑being and giving recommendations.

Our stay at Hotel Kristall in Großarl was flawless. We were especially impressed by the family‑like and warm atmosphere: the whole team is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The hosts, with their open manner, make you feel welcome and well taken care of from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect for enjoying the Großarltal, whether for hiking, day trips, or simply unwinding. The food also left no room for complaints: breakfast is very varied and high quality, dinner is superbly prepared and presented with great care. The rooms were very clean, well maintained, and cozy. A real highlight is the newly built wellness complex: modern, spacious, and wonderfully designed. Overall, a stylish, heartfelt hotel that instantly puts you at ease. We will definitely come back!

A lovely little town, superb breakfasts and lunches, plenty of gluten‑free options essential for my wife with celiac, very friendly and helpful staff, and from the moment you enter you feel at home. Free parking in the garage and a large balcony with a beautiful view are big pluses, especially useful when traveling with a dog. The area is very quiet and peaceful yet not boring, with plenty of attractions and ways to spend time.
