The pension is in a good location, a short walk from the square. The receptionist lady was very kind, helped us with everything we needed, and even lent us a parking card right in front of the pension. The room was clean, tidy, and had scented sachets. The double bed meant we could combine two single beds together. The TV with a small notebook‑sized screen, mounted under the ceiling, had a set‑top box, but it was missing a remote, so we could only turn it on by climbing onto a chair and manually switching it. My husband is tall, I wouldn’t have reached it even on a chair. The TV would turn off or freeze every two hours and to restart it we had to turn everything off and on again. The bathroom completely lacked shower gel and shampoo, which I think is now standard. In addition, the bathroom had a terribly noisy fan that started when the lights were turned on. Unfortunately we had neighbors with the fan on for about an hour, and because the walls are paper, the noise was awful in our room. Moreover, on Sunday at 4 am a neighbor woke us with sounds coming from the bathroom that I won’t describe, a half‑hour nightmare. Our room was on the first floor.
