The pool view was stunning, and the heated pool was fantastic; the spa was incredibly relaxing, and every staff member was exceptionally friendly—couldn't imagine a better hotel. Nothing else to complain about.

The surroundings were spotless, maintenance impeccable, staff patient and friendly, cleaning thorough and hygienic; the public areas were gorgeous, artistic, and felt like a brand‑new hotel. The parking lot isn’t ideal for large vehicles, but our 2008 model slipped in without a hitch; the fridge’s cooling was subpar, so the grapes I stored went moldy.

The location is perfect, right in the old town yet shielded from the tourist bustle; the hotel, formed from four buildings, boasts lovely details possibly from the owner’s architect daughter, such as the homegrown Stinklorbeerbaum. Upper rooms are bright with balconies, though the courtyard balconies are noisy and smelly from smokers. The rooftop hosts a spacious, minimalist spa terrace with a small infinity pool, jacuzzi, bar, lounge, and sunbeds across three levels, offering a breathtaking view all around. The indoor spa in the basement features a long pool and heavenly massages by Luisa and Olga at reasonable rates. The staff were remarkably friendly from the first call to departure, and when we wanted to extend our stay by two nights, they managed to accommodate us despite no rooms initially available, giving us different rooms, an upgrade, a discount on the second night, and free breakfast. The courtyard is loud early in the morning when breakfast tables are set, with clattering dishes and cigarette smoke seeping through the windows or balcony doors, and oddly the balcony doors can’t be opened.
