“Klimatyczny hotel w centrum Starego miasta”
I stayed in the very heart of the Old Town, just 200 m from the cathedral, tucked into a quiet side street. The whole building, a former townhouse with a charming patio, was converted into a hotel with a retro Italian vibe, old furniture and paintings. My room was fine, featuring a high ceiling of 3.5 m. Breakfast was varied, and the best part was that the tables were on the roof terrace, offering a lovely view of the city and sea. The terrace also had a jacuzzi, but unfortunately it had no view and the water was rather cold, so we didn’t use it. If you want to feel the evening Italian atmosphere of the Old Town, this place is perfect. We had no car, and there is no entry onto the old town for cars. Until 30 September, a local bus ran from the old town (stop at the Martinucci pastry shop) to the beautiful Baia Verde coast, with a transfer on the second bus in Lido San Giovanni. The fare was 1.4 eur. The staff at the dining room were very friendly; we had a late train, and a lady arrived an hour early to prepare breakfast for us. Thank you. Value for money is excellent. The only downside was the cold water in the jacuzzi, but that might be better in summer; we were there at the end of September.
