Campione Univela Rooms & Beds - Private Beach

Campione Univela is a sailing club that offers rooms and hostel‑style dorm rooms. It's located right at Lago di Garda, next to the Campione del Garda beach. Accessible only via tunnels, Campione is very quiet at night as there is virtually no traffic. The campus is very nice and in great condition. The immediate neighborhood is nice, but the town itself looked deserted. There is a small shop where you can buy food and drinks. Breakfast and dinner at Campione Univela were great. Good breakfast selection and very good dinner with homemade pasta. The room was as expected and seen in the pictures. Parking is secure on‑site with a massive gate. I really enjoyed my stay there and would rate it 10/10 and book again. Nothing to dislike, really. Town seemed deserted, but that may be different in season. Sound insulation of room doors could be improved, as you can hear people walking past. The parking gate only opens between 07:00 and 22:00 hrs. If you come later or need to leave earlier you have to park outside.

Even though we were told over the phone that missing the Czech‑in wouldn’t matter, upon arrival we were informed by phone that our reservation had been cancelled.

The place was spotlessly kept and felt brand new, with spacious rooms and a clean, well‑equipped bathroom; downstairs there’s a bar and restaurant that served breakfast and dinner (and possibly lunch, though I only stayed one night); the property boasts a private beach and harbour focused on water sports, especially sailing; I was on a bike tour and could store my bike indoors overnight; the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent, right on the lake shore with its own beach and stunning views from every angle, friendly staff and good breakfast, but a huge cliff behind the hotel made it feel a bit spooky.
