Romlan Guesthouse

Romlan is spot on! I booked the twin room and, for the price, it’s a solid space. It’s right by the water, so you can swim when the weather’s good. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and renting scooters is a breeze. The food is good, and they serve Western dishes too. I liked that the ferry picks you up from the hotel pier. Animal lovers will appreciate that there are dogs and a cat on site. Unfortunately, some of the free kayaks were broken, and water splashed into my kayak during the activity. In the traditional house, lizards or worms sometimes found their way into my room.

The beach bungalow turns out to be a Batakhaus with a proper entrance and a shared bathroom, which was actually quite funny. The food, mopeds for rent and the staff were all great.

The welcome, restaurant, location, and bedding were all top quality. The entrance from the road isn’t very pleasant, and the restaurant’s trash bins block the arrival path.

The experience was exceptional, the team was top‑class, the restaurant offered delicious and affordable meals, the scooter was in superb condition, the bungalow was pretty, and the location was very beautiful—100 % recommended.

Free kayak rental, very nice food and coffee, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful view. However, a mouse appeared in my bungalow room and chewed a hole in my bag while trying to get snacks! I was later moved to another room without any issues. Just a heads‑up: if you stay in the bungalow room, you might get an unexpected roommate.
