The East Island Reserve Hotel

“Immaculate comfy stay”

Having a decent amount of space is nice, everything was immaculate, the fire was easy to use and cozy! Parking is right outside the door. The staff were easy to talk to and very friendly. The bed was comfy. I felt safe – recommend! If I’m being picky, the shower pressure was low but that’s a minor issue.

Great spot for heading to Newport Vineyard—just a walk away! I liked everything.

The room and the property were very nice and it was right next to downtown, which was great for everything I wanted to do. However, the walls and floors were paper thin, so I stayed up all night hearing every footstep from the floor above and every conversation from the people (and their baby) on the other side of my wall, which made it very uncomfortable.

“I would not stay here again. Beautiful property, beautiful units but housekeeping hours bad nor availability for clean”

The location was beautiful and quiet, definitely not a hotel/motel vibe, and the yard was well kept. Our first‑floor unit had a balcony that felt private and relaxing for a cocktail, and the room itself was very nice and met our needs. The staff were beyond wonderful and kind. The cheap chairs on the balcony were worn and didn’t match the beauty of the property; sitting on the bottom of the canvas completely ripped and I fell through, hurting my back badly. I’m 73, don’t weigh much, and this should not have happened. My husband told staff, but I would have expected management to follow up on my back injury. The other seat was also starting to rip. Housekeeping comes early, so if you’re older and sleep in late you miss it. During my 3‑night stay there was no bed making and the towels were never clean the whole time, which was unacceptable. I also don’t think you should have to take out your own trash when you pay these rental fees.
