We found insects in the room, including what looked like silverfish, and there was no cell service in the area while Wi‑Fi was only in the lobby—not in the guest rooms. Both nights we were woken by a sudden, extremely loud banging or drilling‑like noise around 10 p.m.; the hotel must improve cleanliness, connectivity, and noise control.

Located about 50 km north of Icefield Avenue toward Jasper, it’s a great midway point that feels closer to a forest cabin. The lobby and restaurant have Wi‑Fi, the dinner menu and wine list are varied, and the staff are very enthusiastic and friendly.

The location is great, right in the middle of the national park and close to the waterfalls. The main building is very nice and the food is really tasty, but the value for money isn’t quite right. The actual accommodation is clean but feels like a “baracke,” especially the bathroom, which is a bit dated.

This place was a highlight of the trip; the lovely receptionist went above and beyond to make our stay special, handling every request flawlessly and even guiding us to spots for moose, deer, and elk—an absolute gem. We tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant, and every meal was delicious. The room was cozy, warm, and charming, and we were amazed it was only a 3‑star property. Being so close to Sunwapta Falls and beautiful hikes added to the experience. It was perfect.
