I was thrilled by everything here; the room was roomy, the bed super comfy, and the host was dependable and friendly. The breakfast and meals were delightful, and I enjoyed a stunning view of Ella Rock from my balcony.

The balcony view was fantastic, especially for watching the sunrise, which was perfect. It’s a bit further out, so it’s quieter than in Ella town, and the view of the train tracks was lovely. Having a mini‑fridge in the room is uncommon in Sri Lanka. Sampath was great, helping us arrange a tuk‑tuk to Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, a highlight, and also arranging a nice taxi driver named Madu for our onward trip to Kandy.
