The place felt like a second home, complete with welcome snacks and drinks that were really thoughtful. We enjoyed learning a bit about the house’s history and the owners, which made us feel part of the ongoing story. Nothing to complain about – it was simply wonderful.

A beautiful apartment styled traditionally, with staff who greeted us with wine and snacks and had the space nicely cooled before we arrived. All the recommendations were spot on.

The house is stunning and a refuge from the hustle of Kyoto. The hosts are lovely, quick to respond, and meticulous; we appreciated the drinks and snacks they left for us. They clearly take pride in their home and business, and I would highly recommend staying here in Kyoto. The historic nature of the house means the stairs are steep, so visitors should be aware.
