“einfaches Hotel mit guter Küche und zum Teil sehr lustigem (positiv!) Personal”
The breakfast was good for a small extra fee, the room was quite large, and the staff was generally friendly and somewhat original. The hotel is reasonably priced for its proximity to the Wies Church, offers enough parking spaces, and the dinner was good, especially in the annex building where the street noise is less disruptive than sometimes reported. An anecdote about the “funny staff”: at the neighboring table of five people, four English‑speaking foreigners had a German companion acting as translator. She translated—rather rudely, I might add—the diners’ food requests, and the waiter seemed patient enough to take the order. The next day, the waiter conversed with other foreign guests in fine Oxford‑English. The standard is not entirely modern (though remember you’re not booking a luxury hotel, so that’s expected), and the shower water pressure was a bit low. Note that we stayed in the annex building.
